BdcashProtocol EcosystemUpdate, Understand What’s Coming!

Bdcash Protocol
2 min readJul 5, 2022

In our next update that will be out in the next 25k blocks approximately and will only go into effect on the 100k block, we will have some very important changes and features that can be very beneficial for investors.

The main change is the increase of our total supply to 210k, it is a drastic change but very important for our new reward schedule to be successful and long lasting, which we estimate will last approximately 10 years minimum.
This update will bring a new feature that no other Pivx fork has created called “Grace period”, idealization and merits for our contributor (Tfinch).

How will Grace Period work?

Our reward schedule is divided into several layers where there are continuous changes of POS, MN, Fee Treasure and collateral rewards, the grace period comes to put a differential and help smaller investors.

Usually the change of collateral is fixed and mandatory, that is, you need to have exactly “XXX coins” to remake your masternodes or you won’t be able to recreate it.

With grace Period we will give you some options that will be valid for the 10k blocks after starting a new phase.
1st — keep one or more MNs with the previous collateral and at the same time one or more MNs with the new collateral.
2° — Recreate your masternode with the previous collateral, valid for the next 10k blocks and then remake it as the new collateral.
3° Recreate your masternodes with the new collateral and keep it active until the new phase where you will change the collateral again.

The grace period will mainly help those smaller investors who cannot recreate their masternodes with the next collateral, giving them time to set up a new one at the end of that period.

As mentioned before, this new update will take effect from blcoco 100k, but the binaries and new wallets will be released in the next 25k blocks, so Masternode hosting/sharing platforms, exchanges, pools can update their services before the update. take effect.
